V For Vendetta

A quick post before i head off for training. A quote from "V for Vendetta", a solid movie:

Voilà! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is it vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished, as the once vital voice of the verisimilitude now venerates what they once vilified. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose vis-à-vis an introduction, and so it is my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
never thought it would be possible to have so many "V"s in one paragraph.
haha.

Rehab

sometimes i feel like i don't heed the advice that i give to other people when they are injured. Example:

someone: "dammit, i think i hurt my knee. but i think i can continue"

me: "there is no way you can play, you're hurt already, it's just gonna
make it worse if you continue running"

goes on about how to do rehab and how icing the injury is important

and after saying that to a lot of people, now im down with a groin strain, but im still running around and playing ultimate.

i need to listen to my own advice. this would be my advice to someone who has a groin strain:

  • stop running
  • stretch regularly, up to 6 times a day
  • head to the gym and do strengthening exercises
  • ice every night for 15 mins

now all i need to do is to listen to myself and heed my own advice. im a walking contradiction =/
