Recess Week

just had my recess week (read: 1 week holiday) and despite that, im still just home for the weekend having to stay in hall so that i can concentrate on doing my project instead of sleeping everytime i switch on the air con.

was actually planning on finishing up the whole project in 2 days, but as we all know, shit happens and it just had to happen in my group. Ended up spending the whole week doing the stupid project which i could have done it on my own in 2 days. argh.

good thing was that there were quite a alot of people in my block that came back, so it was still pretty damn fun, all the late night studying, suppers and disturbing people really late at night, like 4am in the morning. but the drawback was that it screws up your bio clock and i swear it's worse than jetlag. haha.

pity the term's gonna resume on monday, everyone's going to be busy mugging for tests when the term resumes, when yours truly here has finished most of his mid-term papers (yes, hate me. muahah). it's going to be a lonely 2 weeks in hall.

All Time Low

i've just hit my all time NUS low today during my maths mid-term test. as all of you know (or might not know) maths has been a long time nemesis of mine and i was like practicing aggressively in my room last time in preparations for this test.

i was pretty glad when i saw the first 3 of the 6 questions until i got to the 4th question, i swore i did questions like those in the test yesterday night, but i just couldn't recall how to do them. that's like the most irritating feeling, knowing that you did something before but you can't do it when it's being placed infront of you again.

to add salt to my own wounds, i recalled how to do the questions after i came out from the hall. this is like totally retarded. i need to go run this depressing feeling of failure off in a while before i start studying for 2 mid-term tests tomorrow which should be much much better.

SCREW YOU MATHS!! *ROAR*

but anyway, some random photos since i can't make myself do anything else now:

Sleep

lately, i've been trying to convince my body (and myself), that i actually don't need that much sleep. 7 - 8 hours is like too much, or rather 7 - 8 hrs take up too much time when i actually have something else to do.

it just seemed like a few days ago lessons just started and it's already mid-term soon. as mid-term draws nearer, i find the need to stay up more to clear backlogs that i might have or plainly just to read up on whatever the lecturers cannot explain clearly during the lectures. yes, even in NUS there are screwed up lecturers and we have to depend on ourselves.

infact, i've just finished preparing for my maths mid-term test which is going to happen in a few hours time. and look at the time, it's already 4 am. haha.

i don't need to sleep so much. i'll be fine tmr.

Me No Like Rainy Days

for some reason, everytime it's raining, i get kinda grumpy and it doesn't help that i overslept today and missed my Bahasa Indonesia tutorial. I'm so gonna be lost at the next tutorial with everyone speaking in words that i missed today. argh.

i'm supposed to be studying now, but the rain is distracting me (ok, it's a stupid excuse for procrastinating), not to mention that im hungry but the rain is stopping me from going out to get some food. guess i'll rot in my room for a while until the rain stops.

bored, so i shall post some random photos:

Super Weekend

it was a super weekend for me and DK as we went into Singapore Open and actually got into the quater-finals. Great work guys!

all the blood, sweat and tears that the team put in for the past 9 months was all worth it. but most importantly, we all had fun under the blistering heat of the weekend.

less talk more photos (ripped from rayner's site):

Team Photo!

i think it's about time i rest my battered body for a while before i continue. i really think i pushed my body to the limit over the weekend. this is going to take a while. but it's all worth it.

Egomy Loves Truckers

was looking at some of the designs that i did and i suddenly realized that the few truckers that i had were like getting old. so i decided to tweak my designs a little and put them on truckers. turned out quite ok.

shameless advertising:

anybody interested in getting my caps? just leave me a comment/email/sms/call. you know how to get me. haha. i still have a few designs coming up. hopefully it'll turn out well.

DK

had an afternoon of scrimmages with chuckies and muddy grass today at sengkang and i must say that the scrimmages were rather encouraging considering that we're short of a few key players. with Singapore Open happening next week, i think i should be happy witht he results although we were a little messy in our game in the first part of the afternoon.

the plan after the scrimmage was to head over to eileen and rayner's place for dinner and movie night at the (relatively) new home so that we can have a little team gathering, give out the our new team jerseys and warm (read:wreck) their house up a little. haha.

it's really great fun to have most of the team showing up at eileen's place, although things didn't go as plan cos we ended up watching soccer (england opening a can of ass-whoop on andorra), with the girls falling asleep and some of the guys bored.

for some reason, as the team captain, i was made to present the jerseys to each of them:

rayner, male owner of the house with occasional "happy" moments

eileen, female owner of the house

sharing an intimate moment with derek

presenting the jersey to myself and getting high over it. hah

everyone was like excited with the new jersey (cos it looks good) that we decided to take a team photo with it:

serious picture (dunno what kelly is doing though)

we change pretty fast.

it really feels good to have the team coming together and have fun. it's really something special and i really think this is the kind of experience that not many people can come across in their lives. one more week to the Open guys. it's time to make a year of hard work pay off the next weekend!

Influx

i think because of the influx of things that's coming into my life (getting out of army, going back to school, etc), i feel like im losing focus for some of the things that's important to me, especially ultimate.

i feel like im having time off from ultimate, i just can't conjure up my aggression during the games like i used to, maybe it's because of the state of my body but ultimate really doesn't feel like it used to be to me.

one more week to Singapore Open, need to get back my game and aggression. this is a make or break tourney for me.

who knows if i'll ever get back to my original fitness after my op in the future. one can only hope.
