Training Updates

Hi all,

1) Training

DK will be ending the phase 1 training which will be followed up with phase 2.

Phase 2 will be more focused on physical training as well as more drills.

Yes, it will be boring and tiring but in order to train well and to be able to keep up, physically everyone should be there. This can be one of the toughest part but I assure you that there will be results!

2) Training Day & Time

I have set up a doodle voting for all to vote. Please use your real name so we know who prefers which day and time. The link is:

There will be 3 choices, please vote accordingly and not put everything as green!

Please vote so I can set a new day and time, with regards to having max turnout! The voting will end on 27th December 2008 (7 days from now).

3) Roadmap 2009

I have roughly planned the roadmap for year 2009. This year will be a developmental year whereby I wish to improve most players' skills, tactical awareness and game sense.

Some important things to take note:

- 3 Tourneys targeted: Malaysia Open (May 2009), Singapore Open (Sep 2009), One unknown tourney (To be decided)

- As we will be sending teams overseas, please start saving money ASAP! I hope that all DK members can go at least 2 tourneys in year 2009. At the same time, I would like to see healthy competition for places within the team!

Based on the roadmap, the next upcoming tourney will be Malaysia Open 2009. Therefore, it gives us around 5 months to prepare. Fairly comfortable amount of time.

Things that DK is going to do:

- For those that are targeting to go Malaysia Open, expect at least 2 days training per week. Most prob to be 1 training on weekends and 1 during weekdays (Tuesday or Wednesday night at NYP)

- Prepare Malaysia Open like how we did for Singapore Open. Let's go Malaysia Open prepared and not last min like this year. Let's go there, play hard, learn something and have fun! (Amusement park!)

More updates coming up....

Cheers,
Benjamin Ho
