Inter-Block Basketball

my hall had inter-block basketball the other time, decided to whip out my camera after my block lost (sucks) and attempt to shoot in low light again.

lens: 24-70mm f/2.8
ISO: 3200

there's seriously something wrong with my front focus for my 24-70mm. hopefully my new board will come from japan soon. can't take all these soft focused/blurred pictures anymore.

Buddy

went to a friend's birthday part the other week and i brought along a 50mm f/1.8, which i like to call a "fun lens", cos it's small enough to not scare people but still able to take really sharp pictures. was chilling out at the poolside when i saw my friend's golden retriever and i just had to take pictures of it.

ISO was pumped up to 3200 cos of the low light at night and i decided against using flash cos i didn't want to startle this handsome golden retriever.

here are 2 of my favorite shots in high res:

Welcome to Trigger Happy!

Welcome to Trigger Happy! Been wanting to set up a photo blog for the longest time but never got about doing. Finally got it set up cos it's one of the requirements for my photography module in school, so it's like a win-win situation for me.

Take your time to explore my escapades through the view of my lens and hopefully you'll enjoy it as much as i enjoyed taking it.

Blog Exercise 1

Looking through the 3 sites, the picture that had the most impact on me would be this picture of an anorexic woman.

it's a simple composition with simple lighting, but it definitely has a very powerful impact on whoever is looking at this photo. it's not the anorexic body that the woman has that gives this photo the impact, but the contrast between the pre-anorexia and post-anorexia Marta. The pretty face and the tormented body.

definitely a great photo.
