Direction To New Fields!!
People! I bring great news! I'm happy to tell all of you that we have found a new field to relocate our league. We'll be staying at the new field til the end of this league.
The new field is located at Sengkang and it's conveniently located next to Sengkang MRT Station (NE 16)
The most convenient way to get to the fields would probably be taking a train from any MRT station to Dhoby Ghaut (NS 24) and then changing to the North East Line (NE) all the way to Sengkang (NE16).
Once you've reached the station proceed up the escalator:
and up another one:
head straight to the ticket gantry and exit to your left:
and you'll see:
just head towards that general direction all the way and you'll reach:
if you followed the steps as mentioned above you'll see this:
yes, you'll see my van which is circled in red while the league commission will be selling jerseys, harrassing players for fees, selling drinks, providing shelter, etc...

so sweet, they even have a sign saying "Pick-Up" point.
and what about the drivers? any directions for the horribly map disoriented ?

i'm surprise wl wasn't called into the mrt office for questionings after taking all those pics at the station.. hmm.. he might appear as one of the suspected al qaeda members next in papers..
Driving directions from the East:
This is the easiest way and fastest way without getting lost. Senkang is very tricky so use this to save gas.
Take Jln Eunos then turn right on Defu Lane, go all the way straight which will eventually turn into Hougang Ave.7. Then turn right on Upper Serrangoon rd. After turning on Upper Serangoon rd. turn left on the 2nd traffic light. go straight. you'll see the fields on your left.

Alternative route from the east (easier without the funky road names).
Get on the TPE(PIE) and head towards SLE.
After passing by Pasir Ris, keep an eye out for Jalan Halus exit. Take the exit AFTER that. This should be the Punggol exit.
Punggol exit is slightly tricky. After going up the slope of the exit, don't turn, go straight (as if re-entering expressway), then keep left. The road should diverge.
Keep left at this point, and turn left at the next junction. Head straight down from there. You should see the fields on your left in no time. Two junctions away to be exact.

I'd have appreciated an overview/map of the area too, 'coz i'm more of a "okay that's the general direction I should go" person.. rather than follow specific rules person... ;>
